Topsy Kuppers, German-Austrian performer

Feb. 29 The 22 years old soubrette Topsy Kuppers is one of the most promising dancing stars in Germany. The young lady has a French mother and studied in Aachen, West Germany. There she found the way to the operetta and to the stage. She was discovered by the famous show manager Fritz Fischer and so she came to the film in Hamburg. Now she is the first soubrette at the state operetta and is going to act in German dancing films. She is one of the rare young actresses, who have a clear, strong and cultivated voice and also be a first dancer. Mrs. Kupper, who just refused a few days ago an engagement to the Empire Theatre in Paris, wants first to become famous in Germany by some dancing films and then she had a roaring success when she lost one shoe in a dancing scene, which had flown onto the music stand of the conductor of the orchestra. He had come put out of time and to the pleasure of the public, he repeated the last part
