Yesterday, the Russians withdrew from the athletic match against Great Britain, which was to have taken place last night and today, in protest against the prosecution of Mrs. Ponomareva. She was alleged to have stolen five hats from an Oxford street store. She failed to appear in court on Thursday, and a warrant for her arrest was issued.
