Feb. 28 Victory for Sherwood London: John Sherwood of Birchfield Harriers flies over the hurdles on his way to victory in the 400 metres hurdles event at the A.A.A. Championships this afternoon. Sherwood time in the event was 51, 6. seconds. The championships were staged at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in South London. 24th July 1971
