Feb. 26 A new record for Michel Jazy Michael Jazy, last night has beaten his own European record for the 5, 000 meter run in 13 minutes 29 seconds, but failed in his effort to beat the world record of Australian Ron Clarke, set last Friday in Los Angeles (13'25'8). Jazy set a new world record for the mile Wednesday night at Rennes in 3'53'6 and in the other hand, he had lowered the European record for the 5, 000 meters to 13'34'4 last Sunday at Lorient.
