May 05, 1962 - Arthur Rowe the European Shot Putt Champion Tries His Hand at Tossing the Caber. Arthur Rowe the British and European shot putt Champion tried his hand at tossing the Caber at the Highland Games which were held on Clapham Common on Saturday. During the Caber tossing it broke into half and the event had to be cancelled, but not before Arthur Rowe had his throw. Photo Shows: Arthur Rowe seen tossing during the contest on Saturday
