Sep. 10, 1965 - Former Hungarian long distance champion runner in protest walk in London: Hungarian born Mr. Stephen Serenyi, 46, who in 1943 became the champion long distance runner of Hungary, has arrived in London to carry or one of his Freedom walks, having already visited Italy, Germany and France. In 1962 Mr. Serenyi walked from San Fransisco to New York, covering 3, 200 miles in a record breaking time of 74 days, in the name of all freedom seeking people of the world, to remind them of the heroic Freedom Fight of the Hungarian people in 1956.
