Jun. 25, 1965 - Frenchman Jazy Breaks Two More Records M. Jazy, of France, broke the world records for 3, 000-metres and two miles in winning a two-mile race against Ron Clarke of Australia in Melun, France. He won the race in 8 mi. 22.6 sec and passed the 3, 000 metres in 7 min. 49 sec. Clarke, who holds world records for three, six and ten miles, and 5, 000 and 10, 000 metres, finished some 20 yards behind Jazy. Photo Shows:- Jazy leading Clarke during the race in Melun
