In A Great Run Clarke Timed 12 Minutes 52.4 Seconds To Become The First Athlete In The World To Break 13 Minutes For The Distance. Only The American Gerry Lindgren (Placed Second In A New U.S. Record) And Britain's Mike Wiggs Were Able To Stay The Pace In The First Mile, Which Clarke Covered In 4:15.4
