Nov. 11, 1971 - Athlete Dave Bedford's F.A. cup stint: Brighton, the Third Division soccer team today arranged an unusual attraction to precede their F.A. Cup match against Hillingdon Borough, at their ground at Hove. Dave Bedford, the European 5, 000-metres and 10, 000-metres champion lapped the track round the pitch for 30 minutes in a sponsored run, the proceeds of which are to go to the old age pensioners who support the Brighton club.
