Aug. 16, 1977 - On Your Marks, Get Set..With Sunsilk: Girls competing in the Sunsilk Women's Amateure Athlketics Association Championship at Crystal Palace this weeken will have a mobile hairdressing salon to keep thewir hair as their performance. It is the first time that this facilityt has ever been available for competitors, and Sunsilk, leaders ion the home hair care field, will have four hairdressers working right through the day. Primarily, the salon will be for winners of the senior events, ensuring that the girls look their best when they go up on the rostyrum to collect hair medals. In addition, advice and free leaflet about home care will be available to the general public. It is the first time that Sunsilk has sponsored the championship and about 800 competitors will be taking part from all over the UK. In the special 4 X 200m Sunsilk Relay, teams from the Netherlands and West Germany will be competing against Great Britain in an attempt to break the world record.
