Aug. 08, 1979 - SEBASTIAN COE SMASHES THE WORLD 1500 METRES RECORD IN ZURICH For the third time in 41 days 22-year-old Sebastien Coe broke a world record, in Zurick last night be beat an International field by 70 yards for a time of 3mins 32.03 secs to clip almost a fifth of a second off the old record set by Tanzania's Filbert Bayi five years ago. He already holds the world records for the 800 metres. and the one mile. No man in history has ever hold all three records simulrencously until now.
