Traffic sign warning drivers of musical sounds on motorway
Aug. 08, 1975 - A new singing wheels traffic sign has just been installed along the Autobahn Gieben-Dortmund. The sign, developed by the Hessian Ministry for Economy and Technique, indicates to car drivers that the music arises from the cross-grooves which have been milled into the roadway to prevent aquaplaning - and there is no need for alarm.
