Feb. 02, 1955 - Training of Pedestrians - Duisburg is very up to date in matters of traffic education. Latest invention: one-way traffic paths for pedestrians. On a busy road a traffic gate Was intercalated at the brink with wings opening only towards one side, so that road crossing is quicker. Some meters further on there is the corresponding traffic gate for the pedestrians of the opposite streets. Near the crossing there are chains along the pavement in order to prevent outsiders from crossing in the not allowed direction beside the gates. One its inconvenient was stated that women with perambulators and war invalids have difficulties with the oscillating doors
