US training ship Eagle on the River Thames, London

Jul. 07, 1957 - American training ship Eagle on the River Thames, London. Cadets on sightseeing tour of London, seen here with a Yeoman of the Guard. With 350 cadets aboard the the American Coastguard Practice Squadron flagship Eagle arrived on the Thames last night on its annual nine week training cruise. The vessel which is moored near the Tower of London had to have her 150 ft. mast lowered by 14 feet before she could go under the Tower Bridge top span. The Eagle is the old Nazi Cadet Ship Horst Wessel taken as reparations
