US training ship Eagle on the River Thames, London

Jul. 07, 1957 - American Training ship Eagle Arrives on The River Thames in London: The American Coastguard Practice Squadron flagship Eagle with 350 Cadets aboard arrived on the Thames last evening. They are on their annual nine week cruise - and the vessel is moored near Tower Bridge. The sailing ship is the Old Nazi Cadet ship Horst Wessel taken over as reparations. The 51 ft. mast of the ship had to be lowered by 14 ft. before she could pass under Tower Bridge. Photo Shows The Eagle as she comes under the bridge - last evening
