Jul. 09, 1957 - American Training ship Eagle on the River Thames, London: With 350 cadets aboard the American Coastguard Practice Squadron flagship Eagle is on the Thames for part of its annual nine week training cruise. The vessel is the former Nazi Cadet ship Horst Wessel taken over as reparation. Photo shows Cadets at work on the bowsprit of the Eagle with Tower Bridge in the background this morning
