Tubby, King Penguin, feeds chick at London Zoo
Aug. 08, 1952 - Tubby Feeds His Chick.. Zoo's Newest Baby Puts In An Appearance. Tubby a popular King Penguin at the London Zoo has been very busy throughout the last eight weeks - for Tubby has been rearing - or rather - hatching his newest offspring.. all by himself. According to Penguin standards the hatching of a baby penguin is taken care of jointly by the Penguin and his spouse Mary - but Tubby would have none of that his wife didn't even get a look-in.
