Aug. 30, 1966 - 30-8-66 Unique tug-o-war battle at Steam Engine Rally A unique contest took place yesterday at a Steam Engine Rally run by the Hertfordshire Steam Preservation Society, near Hemel Hempstead. The highlight of the rally was a tug-o-war contest between 70 women and children and the old steam engine King George V. Needless to say it resulted in a win for the women and children.
