Jan. 01, 1963 - Lloyd George Statue nearing completion: Mr. Uli Nimptsch ARA is making good progress with the 7 1/2 ft statue of Lloyd George cast in bronze which is to stand in the lobby of the House of Commons. The 65-year-old sculptor was chosen to produce the work after the original choice - Sir Jacob Epstein had died with a statue half complete. The centenary of the famous parliamentarian falls on 17th January. Photo shows Mr Nimptsch in his London studio at Work on the statue
