Sep. 13, 1957 - No Bread For Leader Of The Bakers Union. It was salad and chips - but no bread for Mr. Sam Maddox, general secretary of the Bakers Union, as he settles down to lunch at his flat in Welwyn Garden City, yesterday, watch by his wife, Doreen. Mrs. Maddox run out of bread on Saturday and has no intention of joining the queues. I don't know what the reaction of other housewives would be if i was recognized she said
