Jul. 07, 1974 - Moderate miners reject militant plan for specific wage targets: The National Union on Mineworkers policy-making conference at Llandudno yesterday rejected, by 138 votes to 134, millitant proposals for pay increases of up to £20 a week. A softer resolution calling for substantial increases but eachewing mentions of figures and targets was adopted instead.
