Feb. 02, 1973 - Uniroyal Launch New Golf Ball: Uniroyal today launched their revolutionary British size golf ball, in London today. The Uniroyal Plus 6 is the result of more than five years of intensive research and exhaustive tests carried by independent scientists in American and Britain. The outcome is a regulation ball that flies six yards further on the average than any other gulf ball - hence Plus 6. The success of the new ball has stemmed from the unique configuration of random hexagonal dimples forming a pattern that has been arrived at after intensive research using the most upto date with tunnel and computer techniques. Phot Shows Golfer Peter Butler pictured today with an enlarged model of the new ball, in London today
