Sep. 09, 1950 - Rent Rebels Evicted From St. Pancras Flats. Don Cook Outside Kennistoun House: Hundreds of police this morning evicted the St. Pancras rent rebels - Don Cook from Kennistoun House and Arthur Rowe from Silverdale House. They had barricaded themselves in for a month to-resist the bailiffs. Stones - bottles and oil was used as weapons. Photo shows Mr. Don Cook - one of the rebels - seen outside his flat this morning. He has a coat over his shoulders - sticking plaster on his brow - and wears a leather jerkin
