Aug. 08, 1952 - LYNMOUTH NINE DAYS AFTER. A RACE TO BEAT THE SEA THREAT. Work went on through the night building the sea wall to protect Lynmouth from the flood tides, due in about nine days time. More than 30, 000 tons of boulders and rubble are being bulldozed out of the rocks to strengthen it. 950 men of the 6th training Battalion, R.A.S.C. were sent to Lynmouth during the week-end.
