Feb. 02, 1951 - Annual Pancake Race at Olney- Bucks. Two part Contest - America Versus England: Housewives in Leberal Kanses and housewives in Olney, Bucks - took part in a two-part pancake race today. The race was over 415 yard courses - and it being a rule that the pancakes should be tossed at least three time on the run, A prayer Book; A Pressure Cooker ; A reproduction antique blanket box and a skillet figure in the prizes. Miss Elizabeth Hearn of the United States Embassy attended the Olney section of the race - and a representative of the British Embassy was at Liberal Photo shows Competitors tossing their pancakes during the race through the streets of Olney today
