1953 - Seven arrive from Korea.: The seven men who have been interned in Korea fro two years - and eight months - arrived by Hastings aircraft at the R.A.F. Station, Abingdon today. They are Capt: Vyvyan Deane a war reporter: Father Thomas Quinlan the Irish Missionary; Commissioner Herbert Lord of the Salvation Army; Bishop Alfred Cooper an Anglican Missionary and Mr. Georgen Blake British Vice Consul at Seoul.Photo shows Captain Hilt (left), and Commissioner Lord, photographed when they spoke to reporters at Abingdon today
