1953 - Seven arrive form Korea. The seven men who have been interned in Korea for two years and eight months arrived by Hastings aircraft at the R.A.F. Station, Abingdon today. they are Capt. Vyvyan Holt former British Minster at Seoul: Mr. Norean Owen First Secretary of the British Legation at Seoul; Mr. Philip Deane a war reporter; father Thomas Quinlah the Irish Missionary; Co Stoner Herbert Lord of the Salvation Army; Bishop Alfred Cooper on Anglcan Missionary and Mr. George Blake British Vice-Consul at Seoul. Photo shows captain Holt seen as he spoke to reporters at Abindon today
