Jan. 01, 1953 - Folk Dance Festival at Royal Albert Hall. Young Lady from Kentucky: More than a hundred dancers from many parts of the country and a team from Holland are taking part in the New Year Festival of the English Folk Dance society which is being held at the Royal Albert Hall. Photo shows the only American dancer at the Festival is Miss Jean Ritchie who come from Viper, Kentucky - and who is seen playing a Mountain Dulcimer. She is studying Kentucky Songs at University College and finds that most of the Kentucky Songs originated in England
