Oct. 05, 1951 - Over the channel without a pilot's license in the Tiger-Moth! Englishman Malcolm Douglas Reece suddenly felt like he wanted to get out of his home country. He then took his biplane from a private flying club and took off on the spur of the moment. Without a pass, a pilot's license, or a landing permit, he started flying around 4am, though only completed 50 flying hours. He traversed the channel, but ended up having to land in a field near Harfleur because he couldn't find Le Havre due to ground fog. From there, he hitchhiked around, although he got rather unlucky, because, as our picture shows, he was arrested in Rouen
