Sep. 09, 1953 - Ivor Novello's home opened as convalescence for members of the Theatrical profession. Ivor Novello's home, Redroofs, near Maidenhead, was opened today by the Lord Mayor of London, Sir Rupert De La Bere, as a convalescent home for members of the theatrical profession. H the house which was left to Mr Novello's friend, Mr Robert Andrews, has been acquired by the Actors Benevolent fund for the purpose.
