Sep. 09, 1953 - Mrs. Maclean vanishes, with her children: Mrs. Melinda Maclean wife of the missing British diplomat, Donald Maclean, and her children have disappeared and are being looked for, a spokesman of the British Consulate General said in Geneva today. The Foreign Office have been told of Mrs. Maclean's disappearance, the spokesman added. The spokesman refused to disclose the soue of the information about the disappearance. Some weeks ago Mrs. Maclean went on holiday to Majorca, in the Balearic Isles. She returned to Geneva to take her two eldest children to the International School there. But she found that the school term had been postponed for a week. Mrs. Maclean is then believed to have gone on holiday for a week. Mrs. Maclean is then believed to have gone on holiday for a few days in the Montreux area. The school term began on September 14. Neither of the Maclean children was there.
