Sep. 29, 1953 - 29-9-53 Chief of Air Staff visits Canberra Team Competing in the England-New Zealand Air Race Air Chief Marshal Sir William F. Dickson, Chief of the Air Staff, today paid a visit to the R.A.F. Station Wyton to inspect the R.A.F. Canberra team competing in the England-New Zealand Air Race, which commences on October 8th. The team of three Canberras commanded by Wing Commander L.M. Hodges, D.S.O. D.F.C. has now completed its training, having made 19 proving flights along the initial three staging posts of the rout.
