Oct. 10, 1953 - Troops arrive from Tidworth. Stand-by in Petrol Transport Strike.: Military drivers from all over the country have been ordered to London - to take over as soon as the order is given - to assure the delivery of petrol- owing to this strike of tanker drivers. The troops will take over driving the tankers as soon as the Government give the Order. Photo shows Men of the 10th.
