Jul. 09, 1953 - Annual Sweeping the Streets Ceremony. The annual service of the Vintner's Company was held this morning at St. James Church, Garlickhythe. In according with the 750 year custom, two top hatted men carrying brooms, swept the streets as they went in front of the procession.
