Sep. 09, 1954 - Two Gurkha officers Appointed To Royal Household.. To Attend The Summer Investitures.: Captain Krishna Bahadur Rai and Captain Lal Bahadur Thapa M.C. two Gurkha Officers - have been appointed to Queen's Gurkha orderly officers at Buckingham Palace. The appointments are the first of their kind - and their first duties will be on July 6th. When in their fine uniforms they will stand beside the Royal Dias for the first time at the Summer Investitures.
