Jul. 07, 1953 - New British headquarters in Muenchen - Gladbach Rhineland, Western Germany.: On Wednesday, 1 Jul 1953 the laying of the foundation - stone of a new British headquarters building took place in Muenchen-Gladbach, West Germany. This new headquarters is a permanent billet for the Army, the Navy and the Air - Force personnel and itscovers a total of 365 hectares. 700 buildings will mushroom within 18 months, and the last building is said to be completed on 31 July 1954.
