Jul. 07, 1954 - Freed Britons Arrive Home From Russian Captivity: William Piddington and Eric Pleasants, the Englishmen released two days ago from Russian captivity, arrived back in Britain today. They arrived at Harwich on board the military leave ship Vienna and were accompanied from Berlin by an Army captain. Both men have endured two years of silent hell in solitary confinement.
