Sep. 09, 1955 - SOVIET RUSSIA LOANS UNIFORM FOR BRITISH LEGION CARNIVAL. Mr. Ron Woodcock an ex-R.A.F. National Servicemen wore the uniform of a Russian Lieut - complete with Medal ribbons - at the British Legion Carnival held at Hoodesdon, Herts. this afternoon. The Carnival Committee asked the Soviet Embassy to loan them a man for the Carnival - instead of which the Soviet Military Attache - Major Gen. Rorov sent his aide-do-camp's uniform.
