Nov. 11, 1956 - British Troops Go Swimming In The Suez.. Awaiting Arrive of The UNO Police Force. British Paratroopers went swimming at El Capitation - on the Suez Canal - near Kantara - soon after the ceasefire in the Anglo-French intervention in Egypt. The troops are now dug in there waiting for the arrival of the UNO Police force. They are only a few hundred yards away from the Egyptian positions.
