Nov. 11, 1956 - Britain's new Ambassador arrives next week: Sir Harold Caccia, a career diplomat, married since 1932, father of a son and two daughters, arrives in New York next Wednesday, November 7, on his way to Washington to take up his appointment as British Ambassador. A member of the British Foreign Service since 1929, Sir Harold held various posts in London and throughout the world before his last one of Deputy Under Secretary of State in the Foreign Office, London and British permanent representative with the rank of ambassador on the Council of Western European Union. He will be accompanied by Lady Caccia and his younger daughter, 9-year-old Antonia. 17 year old Clarissa, who is at present in Florence learning Italian, will join her parents next year. 20 year old Lieutenant David Caccia, Sir Harold's son, will remain with his regiment, the Coldstream Guards.
