1957 - Annual Stow Commemoration ceremony in city, anniversary of famous historian's death; The Lord Mayor of London this morning took part in the annual stow Commemoration at the church of St. Andrew Undershaft in the city - at which he presented a prize to winner of the Essay Prize competition and placed a new quill pen into the hand of the bust of John Stow (1525-1605) the famous historian who was buried in the Church.
