The Annual Hop Stringing Competition was held this afternoon at Hertsfield Farm, Marden, Kent - organised by the Weald of Kent Ploughing Match Association.. Fifty competitors take part - and the contest is like a gigantic Knitting contest carried out with miles of string and needles in the form of 10 ft. long poles..
