Nov. 11, 1957 - R.A.F. Crews return from the U.S. bombing tests. Air chief Marshal Sir Harry Broadhurst arrives.: The R.A.F. Bombing Teams which took part in the United States strategic Air Command Bombing Contest - in Florida - returned to Wittering this afternoon. The teams returning included the Valiants which finished 11th. and 75th. among the 90 crews. Travelling with them was Sir Harry Broadhurst - Air Chief Marshal - Chief of Bomber Command. who injured a finger on a boat winch in Florida - while sailing.
