Aug. 03, 1956 - Crisis back to Barracks call takes Sergeant Jimmy from his Bride.: The Suez Canal crisis brought 20-year-old Sergeant Jimmy Norgate's honeymoon o an abrupt and yesterday. An O.H.M.S. letter dropped through the door and Jimmy had to tell his 18-yaer-old bride Margaret that he had been recalled from leave. They have been married only ten days. Sergeant Norgate, A regular, of Luton, w as one of the men of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry - and other regiments - who were hurridly taking leave of their families yesterday because of the crisis. The Oxford and Bucks. arrived home after three tears in Germany only three week ago. Photo shows Sergeant Jimmy Norgate reposts back to the Sergeant's mess at Warley Barracnks, Essex, yesterday
