May 02, 1958 - 2-5-58 The national service man who turned Sikh arrives home but says he going back Private Claude Perfect, the 20-year-old national service man who turned Sikh when he was posted to Malaya arrived home last night and made his mother cry. It was a typical English home-coming as he walked into the kitchen of his terraced home in Someville road, Penge, S.E. Kitbag over his shoulder. Twice married, Mrs. Mabel Power, age 43, gazed hard on him, saw the bronzed face, the bristling black beard and the dark blue turban. She hugged and kissed him, and with tears in her eyes said Glad to have you home. Said Perfect: Don't ask him me anything. I have made a vow not to speak to anyone about the Sikhs and I'm going back to join them. Speaking to reporters about his future he said he was going back to Malaya as soon as he is demobbed early next year. Photo Shows: Private Perfect pictured at his home in Penge, London, last night
