Sep. 04, 1956 - Ex-Army officer jumps from church roof - after keeping Police at bay for more than three hours.: Twenty five year old Alexander Reiss ex-Winchester Schoolboy and ex-Army officer jumped 30 feet from the roof of a Church is Felixtowe, yesterday after keeping police at bay for more than three hours. He refused to climb down for the police and the Vicar of the Church. He landed on a flower bed and sustained shock and bruises.
