Mar. 03, 1958 - IRA Men Fight Police As Eire's Premier Attends Mass. Irish Republican Army men fought with police in Soho as Mr. De Valera, Eire's Prime Minister, who is here on a three-day private visit, attended a St. Patrick's Eve Mass at St. Patrick's Church, Soho Square. Seven men were arrested, and as the police van into which they were being bundled forced its way through the crowd, demonstrators tried to tear open the doors and rescue their comrades.
