May 28, 1956 - Preparing for a new visit to the Antarctic. New Nylon Suits For members. Men who are taking part in the 1956. Transantartic Expedition - leaving this country in November - were to be seen trying out their new improved Nylon Furleen suits at the Expedition's H.Q. in Victoria Street, London, this afternoon. Made of 100 p.c. Nylon with Nylon fur lining for both jacket and trousers - the suits are very light (about 10 lbs) - are windproof - and are coloured a brilliant red. Photo shows Sqd.
