Jul. 07, 1958 - British ambassador and wife trapped for eight hours in British embassy in Bagdad. The British ambassador, sir Michael wright, and his wife, lady wright, were held prisoners by the Iraqi rebels in the british embassy in begded all day yesterday. whilst they wrecked it and burned it down. last night, they were allowed out of the smoking remains of the embassy, and went to a bagdad hotel. the British staff of the embassy were reported safe. photo shows Sir Michael Wright, the British ambassador in badged
