Jul. 07, 1958 - The Marching Wrens Lost their uniforms: When a party of Wrens were marching across the airfield at the Lee-on-Solent air station yesterday, someone started a jet engine - and the slipstream tore off their uniforms. But there'll be no come-back from the Admiralty, because the girls were young models, who were used instead of regular Wrens for this scene in the new British comedy film Further Up the Creek'. Real Wrens (Members of the Women's Royal Naval Service), were only used in the opening stages of the scene
